An important property of self-adhesive wire is the thermal stability of the wound coil at high temperatures. The thermoplastic self-adhesive layer softens at higher temperatures and starts to lose its cohesive strength, but can also be reprocessed, such as shaping the coil into other shapes and rebonding at high temperatures. The thermosetting self-adhesive layer has higher heat resistance and will only lose its bonding strength after reaching the temperature that destroys the paint film.
